Ive been trying really hard to save up some money for my summer to california and so far ive saved up a good amount, but i gotta say its been super hard not buying whatever the fuck i want haha oh well

fuck yeah, this is what i want and this is why i design.
i cant even explain how excited i am. Im going to be a design intern and helping out in the warehouse with all the goodies! haha mannnnnn two months of my summer with my sister baby nephew and a company i support, follow, and wear.

im really happy, but kind of sad at the same time because i usually like to spend my summers hanging out with my good friends, but i guess you gotta prioritize sometimes because this is for my future.

asked to see my work and my resume.
i just touched up all my best pieces, typed up my resume and emailed them back with it all. I really hope they give me a design internship position for the summer, if they do i think i might spaz out!

this is the reason why i go to school and do what i do. I want to design. It feels so crazy to think that these are the first steps to the rest of my life, this internship is going to be so big for me. Working with a clothing company i admire and follow. I had alot of doubts going into this major but i honestly lived by the motto "do what you believe in and believe in what you do" and this is what i wanna do. Yeah even though it can get dry and very very stressful at times, not many people can say they love what they're learning/doing in school, but i can. Just looking at my design work from the beginning until now i can see a major improvement and i only hope to get better.

This internship can help me get better and not only that it'll help me network and build relationships that can help me later on down the road with my designing...anyways im rambling now im super super tired..i wanted to take a nap but just as i was about to i got the email from IMKING and i started getting right to it which took me 5 hours to complete and reply...jeez...

okay im keeping my fingers crossed.
and im going to take that nap now lol

I have contacted IMKING for a summer internship in california.
i have my fingers crossed, but im trying not to be too hopeful about it.
i wear this companys clothes, i follow them on social networking sites, and i check their website/blog regularly. This will definitely be a excellent learning experience and a great opportunity to get my foot in the door and network and create friendships with the company and other brands that they collaborate with.

so lonely up in edmond these days. i wish i was back at home laying in my little bed and watching tv until i fall asleep. its hard for me to lay here in the dark with nothing to keep my mind occupied because as soon as the lights go out and all i can hear is silence, thats when everything is at its loudest. My thoughts just go crazy and alot of times i have to turn my laptop back on and put on some family guy to 1. distract me from my own thoughts 2. to provide some comic relief in my sometimes depressing thoughts.

anyways i hate rambling on too long about my problems because after all they are my problems and nobody elses.

hows about a picture?! lol i dont think ive put one of those up in awhile. I was given an assignment in my Ad/Copy/Layout class to design a 6x9 newspaper ad for a fictional company called Java Junction. We have to come up with the logo, title, illustration, and overall complete layout of the ad. I think mine turned out pretty rad for only have worked on it for about an hour and a half, and after peaking around at the other students mine was definitely the best only because i hand designed everything in my ad whereas the other students copied and pasted pictures from google. anyways here it is.

im loving this video. i love this song and the videos concept flows with the lyrics of the song which is cool too. It also helps that P-Rod is my favorite skater and i bought his signature shoes a few years back for like a hundred dollars...i will never spend that much on shoes again. haha anyways there are a few good cameos in this video see if you can spot them all! lol

3am and i cant sleep so ive decided to sit and blog.
i wish i didnt live so far away from everyone, lately i could use some company.
anywho, its friday. which means i have an OSU pageant to attend tomorrow because im helping my friend perform in it by accompanying her with the piano. Cant say im super excited, but oh well it'll be cool i havent been on a stage in front of people since i was in a band a few years back so it'll come naturally i imagine.

i really really want to intern for some companies im interested in this summer in california, but i just dont know how that will pan out not having a car over there, and i dont want to have to bug my sister and have her take me everyday. i need to come up with a plan B and the plan B is to have a better plan A. :-(

on another note, ive always beleived that things will fall into place somehow and someway...I still believe that to this day, and i have hope that it will not only because i feel that it should, but because i want it to more then anything i can think of at this moment.

lastly, i hate lady gaga for being so fucking expensive. >:-o

i sometimes feel like i need to turn my phone off for a month. lol
ive been contacted by numerous people lately asking me for favors
from designing, to playing the guitar for a show, to playing the piano for a show, to recording songs...i almost feel overwhelmed bc normally my phone is pretty quiet but for the last week or so its been blowing up with text messages asking for favors. of course i agree to them all, but i hope im not biting off more then i can chew.

anyways things have been pretty dull lately. cant help but feel like im stuck in a rut with work, school, and life in general. so many things have been going through my mind recently its hard to keep track of them all...i just know that theirs one constant thing i keep thinking about. I know i should let it go like i normally do, but for some reason i cant with this one it makes me second-guess everything and i dont normally do that...like ive always said i suppose if it is destined to happen then it will find a way to happen.

on a lighter note, the other day i realized the main reason i want or wanted an iphone was because InCase makes sick cases for the iphone. i wish they'd make one for my blackberry. :-(

one of my favorite graphic designers and definitely an inspiration to my own designs.
ive contacted him through a forum numerous times telling him im an aspiring designer myself and would love to intern for him. He told me to contact him when i get to san francisco....hopefully one day. but yeah he runs an honest company with clean concept driven designs, and not to mention he's worked with alot of my favorite streetwear brands...anyways check out the video.

Honda unveiled its new concept electric vehicle, i must say its pretty amazing, even seems a little ahead of its time. It is battery powered by the solar panel roof, has interchangeable interior seating, and most important the passenger side door includes the amazing Honda U3-X, Honda’s new unicycle, which I’m sure any day now is going to blow the very popular segway out the water. growing up one of my favorite movies ever was the Back To The Future series.
i loved every single one of them and i can say line for line when watching the movies.
i love back to the future like nerds love star wars haha this movie was just so ahead of its time and the way it portrayed the future and the past was amazing and i also loved the Delorean time machine i used to tell myself i would own one when i grew up! looking back on this movie really makes me sad that to this day i havent watched a movie that has beaten back to the future.

came across this dope video of Red Wing.
a true family owned operated successful shoe company that can be spotted worn by the likes of Drake and some other big names. I found this interesting because im just really fascinated with the way things are made, the quality of materials used and just the overall production process. lol im a loser.

Everything is hand picked from the leather to the stitching, only the highest quality materials go into their footwear. I have a real respect for American owned and operated and established footwear companies that still do everything by hand; from picking materials to sewing the stitches into the boot. By doing so only guarantees top notch quality and construction, something many brands today are lacking. Anyways, check it out!

the project was started to raise awareness and money for san franciscos tenderloin district which is home to many homeless people.

i cant help but think what knowledge and creativity some of these homeless people really have. I bet they know and can do way more then we ever give them credit for. I feel that a lot of times Poverty breeds some of the illest shit, from rappers to art to even fashion just to name a few. Sometimes i think that homeless people live lives that we secretly and unconsciously wish we could live..not the money aspect of it but the aspect of living life day to day, taking things as they come, and not worrying about the consequences, but what do i know im just a guy with a blog, and a million ideas and opinions.

anyways its a dope video and a dope project. Mega and the BlackScale crew always do things proper! so check the video out, its definitely worth a look.

lol anyways first off, R.I.P. Alexander McQueen..
he committed suicide today, ya know i never really thought about it this way but its hard for me to feel sorry for somebody who commited suicide bc it just feels like a cop out, but damn he was one talented mother fucker. Pushed the envelope in fashion design, came up with extraordinary clothing pieces as well as his jewlery line which i love but could never afford... one day..and most of all he really took fashion to to the edge and challenged competitors and even followers to new hieghts...what a waste, but RIP nonetheless.

whats new in the life...nothing. all i do is eat, sleep, surf the internet for things i want and drown myself in design and illustration homework. Its boring and monotonous but i only have a year left so i gotta try and buckle it down and look at the bigger picture! im thinkin ill be going back to california again this springbreak with my parents, i miss my baby nephew and i wanna see him badly! and on top of that im thinking about trying to pay a visit to some streetwear brands out there that i follow and kind of try and drop my name out there so maybe i can start interning for some of them this summer. who knows, we shall see! big hopes and big dreams.

blah i need to go clean my screen printing screen..i have too many t shirt ideas right now that i need to screenprint! wish i had a machine to do it for me, i have to do it by hand which is so damn time consuming...oh well its not too bad it makes each shirt much more personal.
